Here we present a preview of an upcoming release for the Vans Vault Spring 2010 campaign. The kicks, offered in both a violet and brown colorway, featuring premium leather construction with the durability and quality that has become synonymous with the Vault label. Both colorways are due out in February of 2010.
Drawing parallels with some recent releases, the Vans Vault collection drops a new collection of SK8-HI LXs under the “Akita” moniker. The shoes most notable characteristic lies in the texturized embossed patent croc leather. Three tonal joints include off-white, black and red as well as a black/white version. Vans drops some new two-tone colors of their popular Era. The CA collection features a handful of different colors, the two-tone aspect is more apparent in some styles as some incorporate the contrasted use of materials to achieve a more understated two-tone effect. Available now at FLAUGE.
In a lifestyle segment dominated by iconic favorites such as the Chukka Boot, SK8-HI, Authentic, Era and Slip-On, we’ve seen things change up as of late as Vans starts to ease in some more styles with different albeit similarly themed models with a classic aesthetic. The Chukka Low, a derivative of its original Chukka Boot incorporates a familiar shape as the top portions get chopped off. Some simple colors are the focal point of this 2009 fall collection.
With Jason Jesse at the design helm for this fall/winter Vans Syndicate collection, the skater, gearhead and artist among other trades puts together this SK8-HI model. Featuring an all-leather upper, the usual markings brought on by the stripes are exchanged in favor of a deconstructed stitching method. The back heel also makes room for a deep notch. With the black version seen here, a brown one should also be releasing alongside this style. Available now at Gettry.
