Fashion icon Gucci has produced another stunning sneaker lineup in collaboration with music DJ and producer Mark Ronson. The 18-set collection is set to be released and sold in Gucci Icon Temporary Flash Sneaker stores that will have a debut opening on October 23 at Crosby Street in New York and will be featured in at least seven more locations around the world that includes Miami, Tokyo and London. This Limited Edition sneakers feature a Gucci silver or gold metal dog tag. A leather tag on the laces is also included where customers can have their initials engraved by request.
The success of this collection is inevitable. Combining the professional touch of Gucci and Ronson’s wealth of experience from the customer’s point of view, this project has no room for failure.
These Gucci Ronson sneakers retail between $500-$600, while Gucci Icon-Temporary sneakers are sold between $500-$1,400 only in exclusive Gucci Icon Temporary Flash Sneaker stores.

A combination of a few different Nike models such as the Sabuka, the Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Toki gets a new colorway in the pipeline. Decked out mostly in black, the shoe features a subtle red line along the edge of the of vulcanized foxing band. Available next month as a quickstrike release.

With the opening of Stussy NYC right around the corner as it replaces the fabled retail institution in Union NYC, the brand will commemerate its newest chapter with the release of a collaborative effort with Timberland. Designed solely by the Stussy NYC crew, the 8-hole moc-toe boot features a thick outsole and the stamp of approval from New York’s five boroughs. Available in two colors upon the chapter’s opening on August 24th, 2009.

Adding to their impressive range of contemporary apparel designs, Japanese brand Frapbois enter the realm of athletic footwear with a new collaboration alongside New Balance. Utilizing the 996 model, Frapbois add their own signature touch of subtle yet noticeable patterns, implementing a polka dot theme amongst a colorway that features Black/Red/White color tones with 3M detailing. The kicks are now available through ZOZOTOWN for ¥14,700 (Approx. $155 USD).

Supra once again worked with Steve Aoki on the Strapped high top sneaker. This time it comes in a “Wildlife” theme, featuring exotic animal patterns all over. The official release event for the sneaker is taking place on August 18th at Factory 413 in LA.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, Sophnet has gotten together with Visvim to collaborate on their Twonbly model. As usual Sophnet keeps it classic and presents the low top shoe in black and brown. All in all a very solid shoe that is perfect for everyday use. Cartoons and their characters have been good inspiration to sneaker designers in the past. This time Nike brings out a Dunk High Inspired by Homer Simpson. A flashy Voltage Yellow and decent Midnight Blue upper part featuring orange coloured laces and perforated side panels are what what makes this shoe special. This Nike Dunk High Nylon Premium comes to us in a grey color that extends from the upper to the sole. Throw in blue laces and these have the makings of an All American winner.
